Pumice:

1. Agrochemical Carrier

Pumice is a natural volcanic mineral, permeable and highly absorbent. This porosity and chemical inertness make pumice granules an efficient carrier for insecticides (seedling and leaf pests).

Pumice granules are available in 25/40kg polypropylene bags and IBC big bags. Store in dry environment.

2. Soil Substitute

The use of pumice in glasshouses improves heating performance and contributes in energy saving. The insulating properties of the mineral increase the temperature of the plant food thus favouring plants’nutrition and growth..

Due to the absorbing properties pumice water retention and gradual release enable a considerable reduction in irrigation time and assist nurseries in water shortage. Pumice can also perform as a natural filter in areas with exceptionally chemically rich water. Pumice is a lightweight natural aggregate commonly supplied in 5-15mm grade.

The porous nature of pumice improves soil ventilation and rooting and makes it ideal for pots and beds cultivation.
